Lay Of Wire Rope 鋼絲繩的捻法
The lays of wire ropes, with few exceptions, are roughly divided into two kinds Regular Lay and Lang's Lay. 鋼絲繩的捻法有四種: 右交互捻,左交互捻,右交向捻,左交向捻,
1. Regular lay, in which the strands are twisted in one direction, and the completed strands are laid up in the opposite direction to make the rope.
2. Lang's Lay, in which the strands are laid up to form the rope in the same as the wires are twisted to make the stand.
The advantage of using Lang's lay is that such a rope as constructed offers better wearing suface when in use, and can be expected to serve for a linger period than a regular lay rope is more flexible than Lang's Lay rope and easily spliced |
